Hello friends,
I’m Vivia Barron, an artist, advocate, and co-founder of We Art St. Pete. I'm thrilled to welcome you to our inaugural blog post! This platform is dedicated to sharing ideas, resources, and inspiration for artists who believe in the transformative power of creativity.
Art is a dialogue that transcends time and cultures. By studying the masters, we not only learn about history but also discover new possibilities and challenge our own creative boundaries.
In our first post, we’re exploring a lecture by David Gariff at the National Gallery on Henri Matisse and Fauvism—a movement that revolutionized art with its daring use of color and bold expression. Matisse’s work continues to inspire artists today, offering much to learn from his journey.
At We Art St. Pete, we are committed to providing high-quality art education, especially for BIPOC artists. We’re gathering top lectures, artist talks, and museum resources to keep you inspired.
I’d love to hear from you! Which artists and lectures inspire you? Leave a comment and let’s keep the conversation alive.
With love & creativity, -Vivia
